QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST: PERSONAL INCOME TAX

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will work with the Quality Assurance team and in collaboration with the development team.

Your main functions and responsibilities will consist of creating and updating test cases enabling the validation of fiscal changes made to the program that affect calculations done on personal income tax forms.

Requirements

• College (university) degree in tax policy or other similar area (e.g.: accounting, finance, administration)
• 2 to 5 years tax relevant experience
• Excellent knowledge of personal tax income
• Word, Excel as well as good computer skills
• Keen interest in tax

Assets

• Oral and written bilingualism (English and French)
• H & R Block training course
• Knowledge of corporation income tax (T2/CO-17) and/or trusts (T3/TP-646)

TAX SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE (INCOME TAX SOFTWARE)

Dr Tax Software Inc., Canada's tax software company, has been developing income tax software of the highest quality for Canadian tax professionals for over 18 years. Dr Tax also serves Canadian consumers with UFile for Windows and UFile.ca, Canada's #1 online tax program.

Dr Tax is known for its top-notch product support. We are currently looking for enthusiastic customer-oriented individuals to fill several part-time and full-time positions on our growing support team. A number of these positions must be filled immediately while others are scheduled for the upcoming tax season. Successful applicants will provide telephone and email support for our personal tax software, although openings exist for our corporate and trust tax software programs as well. Please note that our support team also participates in software quality control testing.

Qualifications

• College-level degree
• Oral and written bilingualism (English and French)
• Good knowledge of personal income tax
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Good listening and analytical skills to be able to understand and resolve client issues
• Ability to perform well in a team setting
• Ability to perform well under pressure
• Good writing skills (spelling and grammar)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in customer service or with the public
• Familiarity with desktop applications (email, word processing) in Windows 2000 or XP environment
