Improvements in QPIP overpayment calculation
Improvements have been brought to the QPIP (Quebec Parental Insurance Plan) calculation for some situations where contributions were paid in excess of the prescribed rate for which the overpayment calculation was incorrect. |

New diagnostic message (for returns outside Quebec)
A new optimization-specific diagnostic message has been added to DT Max to assist you in better serving your clients. In some situations, a client may want to use more donations provincially even if the additional amount of donations would be lost federally.
For situations where donations are not fully used federally but a provincial amount of tax is payable, a diagnostic message will be generated. Generally, it is preferable to carry forward the unused donation amount to the following year in order to obtain a greater rate of combined return, federally and provincially. |
