Although it is late in the tax season, we are pleased to release DT Max version 10.23 and so provide you with the new T2038 (IND). This form was made available to us by the CRA on March 30th 2007.
Returns prepared with this new version will benefit from a greater ITC claim in situations where taxpayers with foreign tax credits are subject to minimum tax. The new calculations thus reduce the amount of minimum tax payable. The new T2038 (IND) also includes the particulars of the apprenticeship job creation tax credit.
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING ENTERING T5013 IN DT MAX.
Please note that due to the late release of the revised T5013 slips, the CRA allowed issuers to continue to use the 2004 version. A conflict is created with DT Max's data entry in instances where the old forms were issued. Please refer to this T5013 concordance table found in the Knowledge Base for assistance.
