  Workgroup style laser printer with 4 MB of RAM minimum (e.g. HP LaserJet 2100 or similar)

Note that printers which were designed prior to the introduction of Windows 95 (1995) will print slowly.

Additional recommended software

In order to be fully functional, the current version of DT Max's extensive HTML help system requires Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 (IE5) or higher to be installed. Internet Explorer 5 (IE5) is included on the DT Max CD-ROM. Internet Explorer is more than just a browser. It is a key element of a complete and healthy operating system and serves as the portal to any Windows Update. You can continue to use Netscape or any other Internet browser of your choice, depending on your preference.

We recommend that all users get Adobe Acrobat Reader, which enables you to view and print files in PDF format. DT Max uses the PDF technology in both its archiving and export or email tax return features. If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, you can download a free copy from the Adobe site.

To enjoy the DT Max client letter editing features, we recommend that you get a standard word processing software such as MS Word or WordPerfect that can read, edit, and format RTF files.
